A trip to the Alt-Wädenswil castle ruins is a great adventure for the whole family!
We park our car in the public parking lot, which is only a few minutes' walk from the castle. Easily accessible even with small children. In principle, this circular route could be completed within 1 hour, but you should definitely allow enough time. There are so many well-equipped barbecue areas and places to linger and for the more adventurous among us to explore the ruins. Here alone we enjoy our time together before continuing the circular route through the Reidholz forest (a wonderful place to cool off). Numerous paths lead through here (including a Helsana trail) and there is another barbecue area with a forest hut and seating right in the middle. This forest area also invites you to relax and play and is itself an adventure playground for children.
At the Reidbach pond, we turn right along the signposted hiking trail. WOW - what a magnificent view! With a view of the mountain backdrop and the lake at our feet, we walk back along this panoramic road before returning to our starting point via the ruins.
A wonderful excursion for young and old!
