Beatenbucht - Unterseen

The foehn storm in the mountains, let us explore Lake Thun from "Interlaken West" to "Beatenbucht". You can park your car in front of Bad Neuhaus.

First we had to cross the road and walk along the road. But soon we came to the beautiful riverside path. Beautiful forest, nice houses with well-tended gardens, the lake surrounded by high mountains, a really fantastic scenery offered itself to us.

In Sundlauenen we cross the creek and see the steamer passing by, then we continue to the St. Beatus Caves. Here we meet many tourists.

Afterwards our pilgrim's path climbs up and we pass above the quarry and have a good view of the Niesen. We also find a nice bench with a view of Lake Thun.

To Beatenbucht we descend again to the lake and take the boat back to Interlaken West.
